Project

Created a complete brand identity system for a new energy and focus gum launching to market—from logo and brand system to website, packaging, and marketing templates.

Challenge

Nudge is a completely new product entering a crowded market. But more than just assets, they needed a brand that could tell a different story.

While most energy products treat caffeine as an arms race, Nudge offers something different: a small pick-me-up when you need it (a nudge, if you will 😉). With L-Theanine for focus and energy from green coffee beans, it’s about precision, not excess. The challenge was creating a brand identity that stood out in a category dominated by aggressive, high-octane aesthetics.

Process

As the founding brand designer working solo, I started with research: competitive analysis and inspiration gathering to understand the landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation.

From there, I moved through several rounds of ideation on the logo and marketing materials, developing a brand system that could scale across multiple touchpoints.

The packaging was next. I focused on a design that could nail break-through presence on shelf. 

The website rounded out the system, utilizing all aspects of the brand system from graphic assets to packaging. 

 

Working with Jamie has been a fantastic creative partnership. She guided our brand from a loose concept all the way through mood boarding, packaging, website design, and social content. Throughout the process she brought sharp instincts on brand strategy and standout execution. Jamie is incredibly easy to collaborate with, always receptive to feedback, and never short on thoughtful, fresh ideas. Her design talent elevated the entire project, and she made the process seem easy and fun. The final deliverables included:

  • A complete brand system with a full suite of custom characters, icons, shapes and assets, typography, and color palette
  • Comprehensive brand guidelines that serve as a roadmap for consistent brand expression
  • A clean, strategic 5-page website with content strategy and UI/UX design
  • Two package designs with a color system that clearly identifies both product type and flavor
  • 25 sets of social and digital campaign templates to support launch and ongoing marketing
  • A printed influencer mailer that brings the brand to life in physical form
